Over extended use of the disposable surgical mask, or in activities requiring heavier than normal breathing, the inner layer of the surgical mask tends to get coated with saliva and ends up sticking to your nose or mouth, restricting breathing over time.
I designed this 'tent' adapter to fit into the uppermost fold of the surgical mask, so that when the mask is put on, the top curve of the adapter sits on your upper lip, below your nose, and the 'tent' lifts the lower middle portion of the mask away from your mouth. The fit of the mask is not compromised as the adapter fits entirely within the protective cover of the mask.
The STL is oversized, and meant to be scaled in your slicer to suit the mask/face size when first opened in the slicer in the horizontal position. I have an attached picture with the suggested scaling settings:
Normal: X: 55% Y:55% Z: 70%
Large: X: 60% Y:60% Z:80%
I have not printed other sizes, but you should scale accordingly. Sample Pictures are at the 'Normal' scaling. I sliced this Vertically in Cura with additional settings. Please refer to the attached pictures: Raft: Yes Support: Build Plate Only Thin Walls: Yes Tree Support: Yes
