Pre- and Postprocessing Instructions
I created the model by printing only the spheres and using barbecue sticks and sticks from cotton swabs as rods. By changing parameters in the OpenSCAD script you can use any rods you want. STL-file also uploaded for the whole unit cell. In case you want to print out the unit cell as a whole I suggest changing the thickness of the atom bonds and unit cell constrains to thicker. You will also need to use a large amount of supports. If you want to print the model in modules you will need: 4 S1, 4 S2, 6 S5 and 4 Zn1 parts to put together the whole unit cell.
I printed out the zinc atoms using Form 1+ stereolithography apparatus and the sulfides using a Lulzbot Mini fused filament fabrication device using PolyLite PLA (Polymaker).
Lulzbot printing parameters used:
Layer height (mm): 0.20
Fill density (%): 20%
Printing temperature (C): 205
Bed temperature (C): 60
Supports and raft used.
