Darrell goes to the Smithsonian

Have you ever wanted to meet a real scientist? This Thursday, you will have your chance!

Our very own Dr. Darrell Hurt will be in the "Genome Zone" at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History on Thursday, May 22nd, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. The Genome Zone is part of "Genome:Unlocking Life's Code", an exhibit dedicated to celebrating the 60th anniversary of Watson and Crick's groundbreaking report on the DNA double-helix, and the 10th anniversary of the completion of the Human Genome Project.

The Genome Zone exhibit is developed by the Smithsonian in partnership with the National Human Genome Research Institute.

Its good to hear that Dr. Darrell Hurt was  present at the Genome Zone  on thursday. i had my friends attend the event and they told me how much of an informative session they had. I would like to thank the Smithsonian and National Human Genome Research Institute to have organised this event in wake of the 50th anniversary of  Watson and Crick;'s report and the 10th anniversary of  Completion of the Human Genome Project, which was a project undertaken to determine the sequence of nucleotide base pairs that make up human DNA.
