The White House is celebrating a national "Week of Making" this summer from June 12th through 18th. The week will be kicked off with the inaugural National Maker Faire, June 12th—13th at the University of the District of Columbia. The event showcases innovative and creative projects from from inventors, tinkerers, and makers of all ages. On Friday, there will be discussion panels centered around making, arts, and STEM. We are especially excited about the 3D Printing and Healthcare panel, where panelists will discuss 3D printed medical devices and how this personalization improves patient outcomes and quality of life. You can sign up for this fun, free, family-friendly event on Eventbrite. The National Maker Faire is a collaboration between NationOfMakers.org, the DC Government, the University of the District of Columbia, and Maker Media.
