Green Fluorescent Protein

Reference Model

I used a printrbot with grid support. The default support from MakerWare was not enough, but uploading the file to Cura allowed me to use grid supports.

I printed this in two halves, and then used acetone to glue the strands together. It's easiest to number the strands before removing the supports so that reattachment is easier. I glued the strands of both sides together, pained the structure, then attached the final strands. The colors are based on the PyMol chainbows function.
