Maker mask 4.6 v2 with foam, different straps, and rubber bands instead of tubing and makermask straps

I made this mask but I don’t get why there is this little thin flap that can rotate closed and open on the inside. Should it be open to breath easier or closed to stop breath from coming out the front of the filter? There are side filters too. I also ordered some NIH community-only approved filtration material. The filter is just cloth now. After wearing for half an hour, comfort wise I like it better than an RZmask which does have a real filter, however this mask is harder to put on quickly. It’s a little harder to get a full breath as compared to the RZmask with the flap closed, but my oxygen level is ok. Let me know if you want to try one - andy@greenrobot.com.

I dont believe you assembled it correctly since you are asking about that flap, try flipping that front filter so that the whole front filter assembly is inside the mask and the outside of the mask only has that small flap and the retaining ring poking out

Hi,

Looks like you reversed the assembly for the front filter.
