3D Pollen Library

Pollen Library is the largest collection of morphologically accurate 3D reconstructions of pollen grains and spores worldwide. The 3D models and accompanying source data files are available for palynological research, forensic palynology, science education and outreach and engagement purposes under a creative commons CC-BY-NC license.

To the right is just one example from our collection of 3D pollen grains and spores that have been modelled from various common plant species. The 3D models were all created from confocal microscopy datasets imaged at the Bioimaging Hub at the School of Biosciences, Cardiff University, Wales, UK using methodology developed in house.

Please support this resource by providing constructive feedback via our X (formerly Twitter) feed @cubioimaginghub.
